Hayle is located in St Ives bay and is the town located near the mouth of the river HAYLE. There are mud flats at low tide with jetties, piers and banks to fish from. The target species are Mullet, flatties and Bass. I have heard of bream being caught in some of the pools in the estuary. There are very strong tides here so be careful, but these tidal flows seem to where the bass hunt. If you follow the water out to sea the are changes. Mud flats become golden, clean sand. This area is a classic surf beach. Bass, Flatties and Rays are caught from here as well as other species
Seaton is located on the eastern edge of Devon, on it south coast. Home to the mouth of the river Axe, there is good fishing for a range of species. Mullet can be caught in the river. Generally people fish the seaward side of the last road bridge. The access is good and the fishing is easy from the quay side. Ground bait heavily and get fishing. Landing your catch can be a challenge and you need to keep an eye out for moving boats. This mark fishes well on the rising tide. Flounder are caught the other side of the road bridge. Crab and rag are the preferred baits. Fish the tide up.
To find Rinsey Look for Ashton located on the A394 Helston to Penzance road. When heading towards Penzance you will see a sign for Rinsey on your left just past the Lion and Lamb pub (which is on your right) follow this road and follow the signs to the national trust carpark. From here you will be able to see the rock marks and small beach. The fishing area at Rinsey runs from Rinsey Head to Trewavas Head and is mainly rock marks. The water is deep in areas so some experimentation is required. Good Wrasse are possible all along here. Bass, Pollock, Conger at night, Huss and dog fish
