South Farm is a rural estate of 41 acres set in the beautiful Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestled on gentle slopes between Honiton and Cullompton in mid Devon offering tranquil fishing and accommodation.

We have four private coarse fishing lakes.

Home Lake is two minutes away and contains our wily qbiggiesq. Common and Mirror Carp to double figures, Chub, Perch, Tench and Roach to 3 pound 8 ounces. There are also some elusive Carp up to 30 pounds in weight.

July 2004 - Ray Francis caught his 26lb 8oz carp on video. Guess who was smiling! and Mrs Kilham was equally thrilled with her 3lb 4oz perch.

Upper and Lower Ram Lakes, our biggest at 2/3 acre also yield good bags of fish.

Marlpit Lake. Recently cleared and made more accessible this pretty tree lined lake, five minutes from the cottages, remains a surprise pot. A fisherman in May reported a 30-pound bag of mainly Carp. Lots of spawning.

Bait used includes Maggots, sweet corn, bread and tinned meats.

Fished either side of island-pole and feeder down to overflow 20lb 1oz, 13lb 6oz, small carp. I chub- 3lb. All on maggot. Feb


On the specimen and the Bridge Lake we have had so many carp we have lost count. Che had 3 inches snapped off his rod when he was reeling in a big fish. He would like to have known how big it was. Che and Zoe
